Commemorative Pins

Every year, the Balloon Race Scholarship Committee sells commemorative lapel pins to support student scholarships. In recent years, the pins have been designed by graphic design students at AACT High School. Pins are available for purchase for $5 each, and all orders are fulfilled by our committee's volunteers.

Raffle Tickets

Every year on the Wednesday before the Great Reno Balloon Race begins, our committee hosts a raffle of over 100 items donated by local businesses and other partners. The committee donates six balloon rides in the University’s sponsored balloon as part of the drawing. Community members may purchase raffle tickets for $1 each or $5 for six tickets.

Flower Cards

In partnership with Sparks Florist, BRSC sells "12 Months of Flowers" cards March through May. Cardholders may present their card once a month, for 12 consecutive months, at a Sparks Florist® retail store and receive a wrapped bouquet of fresh, seasonal flowers! The cards carry a monthly bouquet value of $180, but each card is sold for only $50! $15 from every card goes directly to our scholarship fund.

In addition to securing and selling raffle tickets and pins, our committee members donate their time to serving on various sub-committees throughout the year, including publicity, crewing and scholarship selection teams.
